"We had a great time during a winter visit! "
"We (three adults who don?t speak Italian) stayed in Villa Nuba?s Pinturicchio apartment for five weeks (mid-February ? late March) and enjoyed our visit very much! The apartment was comfortable and nicely furnished, the view was beautiful and it was easy to walk into Perugia or catch a bus or train to nearby towns in Umbria and Tuscany. Giuseppe was a great host who stopped by regularly to be sure everything was perfect (it was!), answered our questions and provided advice on the best restaurants, shops and places to see. We shopped for local specialties like fresh pasta and vegetables and prepared them in the apartment?s well equipped kitchen. We used our fireplace nearly every night and we all loved the deep bathtub. Since the water is heated on demand, you never run out of hot water! Since I needed to work while we were there, I used the high speed internet connection - that worked out nicely. The weather in Italy in winter can be chilly but we were glad we went then ? there were very few tourists. We recommend Villa Nuba and plan to return! "

We had an excellent 5 nights at Villa Nuba. I was a bit skeptical about booking something online but the apartment was even nicer than it looked online. The other comments about Guiseppe are definetley correct. He is a perfect host and is available to help out with anything. A tour of the surronding area to get you acquainted was a big help, as was the welcome package so you don't need to go out right away to pick up supplies. The apartment itself was perfect and had everything we needed (we were two couples each with an infant). The kitchen is well equipped and the furnishing very tasteful. It may have been a 20 minute walk to town, but it is all uphill. As we were travelling with babies we drove each time, that was the only downfall of the place. However, if you're not lugging a stroller around I'm sure it would be more manageable.

We stayed in Villa Nuba for 3 weeks.
Lovely location and great amenities in our charming apartment.
The owners help us for all our needs.
What is more the location is fantastic: countryside and walking distance to the Medieval Perugia city center.
I and my family will absolutely recommend Villa Nuba to everyone would like to stay in Umbria.

I just arrived home after a 6 week stay at Villa Nuba in the Del Bonfigli apartment. It was fabulous. The space is a delight to the senses; lace curtains, ceramic pulls on the kitchen drawers, a firm comfortable bed, a beautiful custom built fireplace, a well equipped kitchen complete with spices, a garden view with the Umbrian countryside peaking through the trees, a lovely terrace with soft voices of morning songbirds.
The owners are wonderful and Giuseppe was unbelievably helpful. Any questions I had about the apartment were quickly answered and a short tour between the bus station and the apartment was full of recommendations for grocery shopping, a local pizzeria, the bus system, and nearby ATM. Giuseppe was generous with his time, providing pick up of my visitors at the train and bus stations and giving me general wisdom and language support in my first few weeks alone in Perugia.
I would recommend the Villa Nuba to anyone wanting a short or extended stay in a luxury apartment in the beautiful historic city of Perugia

Where do you begin? The Villa Nuba is a must for anyone who loves Umbria in Italy. Giuseppe welcomes you into a holiday of a lifetime. The Villa is set in beautiful surroundings and has a very high standard, and is well equipped and maintained. The nice touches are the welcome basket of Italian food and wine on arrival and he gives you a flavour of the area with a short drive in his car to the nearby city of Perugia.
Whilst not essential, a car is an asset to visit some of the local places of interest.

Villa Nuba will not be forgotten. I travelled with my
Mother, Aunt and Friend for her 65th birthday. We
were greeted with a warm, familial reception. In
fact, I feel like I have made friends for life!
Giuseppe made everything easy. I was even able to
email my kids back home every night because the
villa has a computer that is available for guests.
The pool, views, location, accommodation was first
rate. Our apartment was clean, tasteful and
because Giuseppe had thought of everything, it was
easy to adjust to being so far away from home. We
enjoyed visiting Assisi, Deruta, Todi as well as
Perugia, with ease. There's even a shopping mall
close by (Collestrada,), I felt like I lived there for
our week and loved it! I will certainly go back, next
time with my husband and kids, they too will be
able to make great memories at Villa Nuba! |

“loved villa nuba”
We stayed for a month and found everything was excellent; the view, the balcony, the pool. Our host, Guiseppe, was always available and vey helpful. It was a wondeful walk into Perugia and an easy walk to the grocery store which had everything we needed. Taxi drivers knew Villa Nuba so there was no problem getting a taxi to and from the city when we decided not to walk. There was lots of room for extra guests, the amenities were modern and the computer room (with internet access) was easily accessible and was included in the price. Weekly housekeeping was excellent. Very highly recommended.

“Villa Nuba vacation rental in Perugia lives up to its luxury advertisement”
Giuseppe gave us a very warm welcome and guide to our apartment which was exceptionally well equipped. Then he took us on a tour of Perugia in his own car to help us get our bearings in the one way system in the town.
The apartment was spotless, bed and bedroom very comfortable, kitchen facilities were comprehensive and the jacuzzi bath welcome after a days touring. The pool was clean, unfortunately a little cool as the weather was well below normal for this time of year. Access to the main roads was very convenient making this apartment an excellent base from which to visit all parts of Umbria.
The biggest gastronomic treat was a visit to Giuseppe's brother- in-law's restaurant in Montone - absolutely Michelin Star standard!!
You definitely need a car to stay at Villa Nuba as it is on the outskirts of Perugia, but compared to other apartment in Italy this one is a gem.

“Bravo Guiseppe”
We had a fantastic time at Villa Nuba. Guiseppe is the perfect unobtrusive host . Always available when you need him and full of excellent tips to make sure you get the most out of your holiday
The girls complained a bit about the walk into Perugia but we soon worked out the buses so that we only had to walk back and then plunge into the fantastic pool to cool off
Plenty of places to go by bus or car. We even managed a couple of days in Rome (drove to Orte and then took train and managed to visit the lovely Orvieto on the way back). We had a car for a week (cheap rental courtesy of Guiseppe) but didn’t bother to use for Perugia because parking is hopeless and the driver liked to enjoy himself !
The local fiesta was great for food and dancing and we went to some fab restaurants in Perugia but just hanging around the pool and the villa was pure pleasure.
Thanks again to Guiseppe and family for a great holiday !

“Fantastic”
Our stay in Villa Nuba was fantastic and contributed to a true Umbrian experience. Our expectations were high based upon other reviews and the website but even these were exceeded! A great balance of local charm with excellent facilities - made all the better by the excellent friendly service provided by Giuseppe for whom nothing was too much trouble. Well positioned on the edge of Perugia. We travelled with our 2 year old daughter and the apartment was ideal but equally it would suit families with older children or a group of friends travelling together. Very highly recommended.

"The best villa rental in Umbria"
My family spent one week at Villa Nuba in Perugia. Charming Giuseppe the landlord was of great help. Through him we got a great deal on an AVIS car rental. When we got to the apartment, he took us in his car to the center of Perugia to get accustomed to the town. The apartment was very clean and had all the amenities. Having a computer with an internet connection was great too.
The apartment is situated 30 mins on foot from Perugia centre. At times we walked it and other times we took a cab. We did not bother to drive to the center since parking is a problem.
We loved Perugia and we used it as a base to visit the nearby towns of Assisi, Spello, Spoleto, Gubbio, the ceramic town of Deruta and Orvieto.

“Would love to visit again Villa Nuba holiday rental in Perugia ”
My husband and 2 friends arrived at Villa Nuba in August 2008. Stayed in Pintrucchio. We had a wonderful time with good weather, very spacious accommodation, immaclulate and nice pool. Very quiet at times felt as though we were the only people there. The apartment villa is well equipped with everything that you would need.
Although close to main sites of Perugia not exactly walking distance. Once we found the villa very easy to find again, however advise you to ring the great owner Guisseppe to come and meet you for directions. Guisseppe very helpful and friendly, took two of us on a local tour to orientate ourselves. Definitely need a car to view local sites. Great position for Assisi and surrounding countryside, short drive to motorway for easy access to other towns and attractions.

“Fantastic Place in Umbria ”
We stayed at Villa Nuba for a week while visiting our son, who was in a college study abroad program in Perugia. Villa Nuba was just a fantastic place to spend the week - not only to get to know Perugia - but also as a great location to take day trips to Rome, Assisi, Gubio, etc. Our 2 bedroom apartment was amazing for the 3 of us. With a great kitchen, fireplace, and even a washer. Giuseppe - who lives in the main house - gave us a short tour of Perugia and took care of all our needs - called us a taxi whenever we needed one, answered all our questions, and was a great host. I would highly recommend Villa Nuba for anyone looking for a nice relaxing place to spend a week, or a month or longer.

"My husband and I loved Villa Nuba apartment rental in Perugia"

| My husband and I loved Villa Nuba. We were travelling with our 3 small children, ages 8, 5 and 3 and the pool was a big hit to keep everyone happy. Guiseppe was a wonderful host with lots of local information on Umbria and places to visit as well as the tour of Perugia to point out best supermarkets, pizza places etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the food, wine and all Perugia has to offer. We can only highly recommend Villa Nuba and hope to return. Thanks Guiseppe for making our holiday so memorable and fun with kids! |
