With them I had a beautiful time during Umbria Jazz festival and during our tour to the umbrian vineyards and cellar. I'm still happy when thinking about them and knowing now I have some nice friends in Boston!

6.jpg "[...] Diana and I are writing to tell you and your family how much we enjoyed our 2-week stay at your VILLA NUBA. It was the most attractive and comfortable of all of the accomodations we stayed in during our ten week trip to Italy and Provence.
We were thoroughly impressed by the beauty of the villa and its hillside setting as well as the view from the windows. We were equally impressed by the inside of the apartment del Bonfigli. We don't recall ever staying in an apartment, lodge or hotel room that had nicer furniture, décor and appointments. Every room was inviting and comfortable, and the jacuzzi bath was a special treat.

What we appreciate the most, however, were your extra efforts to make our Perugia experience easy and low-stress. We are particularly grateful that you picked us up at the train station, but more than anything else that you helped us by negotiating such a good rental car price for us. We would have paid nearly twice as much if you hadn't helped us with the car.
Also, your suggestions as to day-trips to nearby villages made the whole experience absolutely wonderful! Each of those villages was a gem.

Again, mille grazie for all your efforts and favors. We look forward to staying at VILLA NUBA the next time we visit Italy."

"[...] the whole time, the memory of the fun time we had in Umbria, and your beautiful apartment, and how very nice and friendly you and your family were, kept us happy the whole way. It's going to take a while before I get used to being back home. In the few hours we've been there, we've told so many people about your wonderful apartment and your generous hospitality that they all want to go. [...]
I've told everybody who has called (family and friends) to welcome me back that Perugia is the most beautiful town in Umbria, and that Umbria is the most beautiful region in Italy and its people are generous of spirit, patient and kind. Please write and let us know how you and your family and your girlfriend are doing. We hope everything goes well.

Best regards and a big hug and kisses for you and yours"

(...) I've now received my photographs and have been re-living the whole thing, as well as sharing it with my friends. Umbria really is a beautiful part of the world and Villa Nuba is the perfect place to stay. The house itself, of course, is lovely and the location is perfect, but so much of the charm of staying there is due to you, your delightful mother and the lovely, dark-haired lady, whose name I never learned, but who was so very kind to us - as, indeed, were you. It was all above and beyond the call of duty, Guiseppe, but was, I assure you, very much appreciated. (...)
Thank you so much, Giuseppe, for everything you did for us and for the sympathy and understanding you showed to two people you barely knew. Dad and I talk about you a lot and we have told so many people about del Pinturicchio - perhaps you will see a lot more Scottish visitors (well-behaved ones!) in the future?

I hope your mother had a wonderful holiday and that everything will go well for you in your forthcoming exams. If ever you want to visit Scotland, you know how to contact me!

Thanks again.

Kindest regards,

We stayed at Villa Nuba for 5 weeks in September - October 2004. It is very conveniently situated and, whilst it has beautiful views of the countryside, it is also very close to public transport, cafés and shopping. The centro storico is also within reasonable walking distance.

We were delighted with our stay there and had a marvellous time. The Nuzzaci family were very welcoming and friendly. Our apartment was spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Giuseppe and his family reside on another part of the property and during our stay they were always very pleasant but never intrusive. Giuseppe himself was always most helpful and assisted us in many ways from collecting us at the station to assisting with booking football tickets.

We can unhesitatingly recommend Villa Nuba to anyone wishing to visit Perugia."

We hope that all is well with you and your family. We are hoping to return to Perugia early next year.
Could you please let us know if you receive this email safely.

Dear Giuseppe, Jambo! I hope I have spelt your name right. We want to thank you for making our stay so wonderful. We have gone back to work and at the moment it is depressing. Sorry we have not written before but since we are back at work we have been busy. Anyway as promised I writing to tell you about the hotel. The hotel is excellent. It provides excellent bed and breakfast. It provides free taxi service to central Rome- near the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. It also goes past the Borghese Gardens. You made an excellent choice and it was cheap. Thank you. Once again thanks and if you want to come and see us in England you are most welcome. Very good hosts. Thank you. We shall recommend Villa Nuba to our friends!

I am enclosing a picture for your website of my wife, Liz and I. By the way, we did enjoy sunshine at our stay in Bellagio on Lake Como. I think you told Liz that you would give us a free week stay if that happened right? :-) I left some underwear at our apartment. You can just keep it until we return. We wish you success, full occupancy and good health!

The Schaefers

I spent a fantastic holiday in Italy with my family this August. We decided to stay in Perugia for five days because the position of the city is perfect to visit Tuscany and Umbria alike.

We had a great time at Villa Nuba where Giuseppe Nuzzaci our host was welcoming us. He is a friendly, kind and funny young Italian who gave us many ideas what to see and where to eat. Giuseppe tried the famous Hungarian hot paprika sausages with us on the first night, that made a perfect match with the Italian Grappa... The Pinturicchio Apartment was as charming as described at the villa's website and we had a great time there. We were cokking yummy dinners in the fully equipped kitchen and even though the weather did not permit a swim in the nice pool, our children tried the jacuzzi one night... It was good all of us could check the most important e-mails in the internet room. We devoted our first day to Perugia, then visited Gubbio, Arezzo, Siena and Cortona. Our guide book was the favourite Hungarian book of the family, Antal Szerb's Journey by Moonlight. In the book written in the 30s. The childhood friend of the protagonist became a monk in Gubbio in the monastery up on the hill, attached to the Basilica of St. Ubaldo. Thanks to Giuseppe we took the Funivia (cable car) to go up to the basilica, from where we so the most amazing view of the city and the scenery around. After 35 years we also went back to Arezzo, a dear town for us. In 1972 our Hungarian choir participated in the Concorso Polifonico and won two prizes in Arezzo. It was an exceptional feeling to show the places where we had sang decades earlier to our children.
In Siena, we had great Italian coffee on the Campo and were lucky to see the marble mosaic floor of the Cathedral, since the floor is only uncovered for two months a year. On our way back from Siena we decided to go to Cortona for dinner. I had already visited this beautiful town before and took my family to the Pizzeria Fufluns where I had had good lunches and dinners 5 years ago. We not only had great bruschetti and tasteful salmone affumicato in salsa di pepe rosa, but also happened to watch the Italy-Hungary football match, sitting in the middle of a group of Italians... We were happy about the outcome... (Scusi!)
We went up to Venice for two days from Perugia to finish a wonderful holiday.

I can only promise to go back to Perugia again and surely stay at Villa Nuba again, because a lot of nearby towns remained unseen for us: Spoleto, Assisi, Todi, Montepulciano etc. Since Lake Trasimeno is so close we would like to spend a day at the beach next time. Beautiful cities, nice villa, friendly host and the best pesto we ever tried, made by our host's mother and given us by Giuseppe as a present when we said good-bye. We are thinking of our summer holiday a lot and can only recommend Villa Nuba to others. (But the Pinturicchio apartment is only free at times when we are not staying there....)

01092007463.jpgDear Giuseppe

Just a quick note to thank you for making our stay at Villa Nuba so enjoyable. The apartment was absolutely perfect, and Bruno thinks the pool was one of the two coolest things about the holiday - the other being the Gubbio funivia. We'll be back, I'm sure.
Jonathan Buckley, Brighton, UK

Spent a perfect week at Villa Nuba in July when Italy was experiencing record temperatures and the pool was therefore an essential. Giuseppe made our holiday special, being the perfect Italian host. He greeted us on arrival, took us on a tour of the local supermarket, pizzeria and city walls and gave us some top tips about what to do/not to do. I was worried that with two teenage children (aged 16 and 14) there would not be enough to do but with the trip to the last night of the Umbrian Jazz Festival, the venicular cable cars in Gubbio, the boat trip across Lago Trasimeno, the day trip by train to Florence and of course the retail therapy in Perugia itself, they were well entertained and had a fabulous time.
The apartment was ideal with good facilities and very clean.
We would definitely recommend it to any one.

dscn0451Both my husband and I just wanted to report on our wonderful visit to Villa Nuba. We stayed in the Del Perugino apartment for the month of June and it really was a home away from home. The location was perfect - a countryside setting just a short walk from the centre of Perugia, and in close proximity to the many hill towns in Umbria. The apartments are really luxurious and every amenity has been thought of. Guiseppe and his parents are wonderful hosts and were very helpful in all aspects of our stay. We may be back!

We only managed a trip here because my middle aged dad and his partner booked the villa with 2 bedrooms. What a massively fortunate event for us!! Perugia itself it's so amazingly beautiful and doesn't have that "over-touristy" feel of a lot of Italian cities (especially in Tuscany). If you want to immerse yourself in the beauty and the lifestyle then a stay in Giuseppe's family's villas is definitely the way to go. Extremely comfortable and clean. You can pick up some fresh Italian foods, and more importantly wine, from the local supermarket, and walk 'home' sit on the balcony eat some olives, cheese, bread and drink some wine while looking over the valley. The "yakuzi" (jacuzzi) is very relaxing for your "musckels" (as Giuseppe will tell you), and the pool is terribly inviting on a hot day. Giuseppe was an ever attentive host, and great fun!! We would highly recommend the stay to anyone.

Location: The villa is located in the countryside on a hill just outside Perugia so it is within walking distance of the old walled city. Because it is sitting on a hill the views are just fantastic and it is so quiet. It is a 1400's converted Farm House and the host family live in one separated side of the property and they have converted the remainder into three luxurious apartments, two larger ones and one studio apartment. There is a beautiful new swimming pool as well as a computer set up for guest use. Whilst we were there one of the other apartments were in use but you would never know that anyone was there since everything is planned so well. The biggest plus for us was the incredible hospitality shown by the family. On arrival we received a welcome basket, which contained all the necessary ingredients for our first mornings breakfast and a few other significant goodies. We were driven around locally so that we had an idea where everything deemed necessary was located and nothing was ever too much trouble. Giuseppe will also organize all different activities and be your guide to different places if you would like that. He helped me rent a car before I arrived as well as picking us up at the Railway Station so that I could follow him to the Villa.

Nearby Amenities: There was a supermarket type grocery store just a five minute walk from the house and in fact the host of the Villa took us on our first trip so that he could introduce us and point out all the local produce etc.

Garden: There was a nice private outdoor sitting area and there was a beautiful new enclosed pool which you share with the other two apartments. There was also one parking spot for each apartment all of which is behind locked gates.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas: The apartment was lavishly furnished. All the furniture was antique and in wonderful condition. The level of cleanliness was outstanding and there were lots of chairs in the living/dining room. The view from the living/dining room window was just outstanding and there was also an open fireplace for cooler weather.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms: The beds were very comfortable. We were four sisters so we utilized all the beds available. There was a very large antique bed in one bedroom. In another bedroom there were twin beds (which can be changed to another double) and then in the Living Room there was a pull down sofa which my sister said was incredibly comfortable. There was only one bathroom but even with four senior sisters we didn't have a problem. The bathroom was luxurious with a jacuzzi tub and it was spotlessly clean and all tiled. There was a hair dryer as well as a clothes washer with the dryer in a different location.

Kitchen: The kitchen was of equal quality. Stainless steel fridge, dishwasher, gas stove, lots of excellent pots and pans. It had a door which opened on to the garden at the back with an excellent screening system. They have truly thought of everything. We cooked full meals on two or three occasions and thoroughly enjoyed it. They provided complete instructions for the use of all appliances in Italian, English and I believe German.

Problems or Bonuses:
We encountered no problems at all and by far the greatest bonus was the hospitality shown by both Giuseppe and his parents. Nothing was too much trouble and his English was very good. If you didn't need any help you didn't even know they were there but any help you needed was offered. I just can't say enough good things about Villa Nuba - it was truly a Paradise.

Agency and Representatives (and price):
I booked directly off the web so no Agency was involved. As stated above it was very valuable that Giuseppe spoke English and everything published on line on both their own website as well as the site where we found it listed was very accurate. We also felt the rent of Euro 1,180 per week for the apartment was an excellent value. I also found the booking procedure was very concise and the attention to detail was excellent. I received almost immediate replies to all my communications. As well they recommended a car rental company (at my request).

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
I would not hesitate to recommend Villa Nuba to anyone. One of my sisters is a Reservations Manager for the largest Helicopter Skiing company in the world who certainly understands "service" and she would highly recommend it. The only minor irritant we found was that since it is a gated estate we had to shuffle the key situation around. With four sisters who sometimes wanted to go their separate ways we had to ask for extra keys and jockey things around but other than that I can only offer high praise.

Things to do in this area:
Around Perugia there were many really interesting towns including Assisi, Gubbio, Lake Trasimeno and all these places have so many interesting museums, churches, walks, great shopping in Perugia itself and since it is a walled city all the streets were so interesting. Giuseppe will recommend restaurants in all the towns around and with the exception of one in Assisi they were all excellent. In Perugia the restaurant Il Cantinone was outstanding and the first time we went we arrived at closing time (2.30) for lunch but when we mentioned we were from Villa Nuba they insisted we come in and they stayed late and made us feel so welcome.

Kathy from Canada May, 2007 one week stay

The apartment was charming and very comfortable. (I especially enjoyed the spa bath.) Your advice and directions were invaluable and I'm still savouring the memory of the restaurant in Gubbio that you recommended. Thank you for a great stay.

Dear Giuseppe,

My parents and I had a wonderful time in Perugia and particularly at Villa Nuba. We loved the Colle Giorgio II area and particularly the very comfortable Del Perugino apartment. It was very spacious, clean and everything worked perfectly. Giuseppe, you and your family were very welcoming and helpful. We thouroughly enjoyed the pesto sauce made by your mother and please give her a big thank you. The welcome basket was very useful for us, especially if one arrives on a Sunday when all the shops are closed. Having the computer room was definitely a plus. I give the whole villa an A+. You should be very proud of what you have accomplished at Villa Nuba.

Dear Giuseppe,

Thank you so much for your hospitality and making our stay at Villa Nuba so perfect. You have captured the ideal vacation experience. Not only is the Villa set in the most beautiful region in Italy, it has every modern convenience, is absolutely spotlessly brand new in it's restoration and yet retains the charm of centuries old architecture. Best of all is the host and Director. I will always remember your genuine helpfulness and kindness and hope to see you again soon. Don't forget to call if you visit London. Thanks also to your mother whose elegance was evident in the feminine and practical additions to the apartment and to your wonderful father, Signore Nuzacci.

Auguri Sinceri

Myself and 3 sisters(seniors) just returned from 1 week at this apartment and it is hard to do justice to this place with words. The location was beautiful being situated on a hill overlooking all the beautiful Umbrian countryside but it is only 15 minutes walking distance from the centre of Perugia. The villa is a converted 1400's farmhouse and there are 3 separate apartments all luxuriously finished and furnished with wonderful antiques. It is spotlessly clean, has a wonderful new swimming pool and you have the use of a computer in a separate room. The thing that really impressed us was the hospitality of the host, Giuseppe and his lovely parents. Nothing was too much trouble and it absolutely made our trip. I would not hesitate to recommend del Pinturicchio to anyone - utterly fantastic. Ben Cotto Giuseppe.

In November 2005 my wife and I had the great pleasure of visiting Perugia and staying at the lovely Villa Nuba for the entire month. It was a fantastic experience. The accomodations were everything we could have hoped for. The beautiful apartment was comfortable and well furnished with everything we needed for an extended visit. We choose not to rent a car for our visit and soon found walking to the Centro (city center) or taking the convenient buses greatly enhanced our experience. We can not say enough good things about the hospitality of our hosts. In particular Guiseppi who was always available to answer questions, provide helpful insight, and assist us when local customs and language overwhelmed us. We especially appreciated his services as driver and tranlator for a successful excursion to find distant relatives in a remote village in the hills. Our wonderful experience of Perugia and the surrounding area was due in large part to our most enjoyable stay at Villa Nuba. We thank Guiseppi, his family and staff for making our vacation so special. Without hesitation we would recommend Villa Nuba to anyone visiting this lovely Umbrian city.

Hello Giuseppe, I am writing to say thankyou for the great time we had at Villa Nuba. We have told many of our friends about your apartments and maybe they will come and stay one day. Certainly our friends Peter and Kirsty (Peter has the leukemia) are keen to come possibly next year. They were very grateful that you were able to refund some of their deposit. All of us really enjoyed our stay in Perugia (except for the one way streets) and we also enjoyed Spoleto when we stayed there. Umbria is truly a beautiful part of Italy and I think by staying in your apartments, we were able to experience a little bit of the day to day italian life. I gather the weather in Italy has been very good for September, so you got your wish that September was better than August. I think you have improved your website since I last looked. It is looking good.

Dear Guiseppe,
We hope this letter find you and your family very well! We absolutely adored our stay in Del Perugina, Villa Nuba and miss it already! First of all, picking us up at the train station was so appreciated, as we had been traveling for 30 hours by then! Then, to find our bountiful basket of food waiting for us was wonderful, as all the stores were closed on Sunday! Your friendliness and your family's kindness was exceptional. Remembering our excursion in your car to the outside regions of Perugia city was one of the highlights of our holiday! We loved the elegance and charm of our apartment, which was equipped with everything one would need- truly "a home away from home"! The views of the surrounding countryside were spellbinding as were the gardens surrounding Villa Nuba. Thank you so much for the most wonderful stay in a beaurtiful area called Umbria! We can highly recommend Villa Nuba Apartments! We will be back! A special hello to your mother and father from us.Maybe we will see you in Australia someday!

Hello Giuseppe and family,
What can one say about our host - magnifico!!
Many thanks for the personal, whirlwind convertible tour of Perugia to help us get acquainted with your marvelous city upon our arrival. And the advice on towns to visit in Umbria. Our time spent at Villa Nuba was so relaxing and made easy - with a very welcome basket of delights, afternoons spent swimming at the pool and long chats about life over wine in the evenings.
It was our childrens's favourite spot in Italy and we hope one day to return (perhaps for the Jazz festival)

"We had a great time during a winter visit! "

"We (three adults who don?t speak Italian) stayed in Villa Nuba?s Pinturicchio apartment for five weeks (mid-February ? late March) and enjoyed our visit very much! The apartment was comfortable and nicely furnished, the view was beautiful and it was easy to walk into Perugia or catch a bus or train to nearby towns in Umbria and Tuscany. Giuseppe was a great host who stopped by regularly to be sure everything was perfect (it was!), answered our questions and provided advice on the best restaurants, shops and places to see. We shopped for local specialties like fresh pasta and vegetables and prepared them in the apartment?s well equipped kitchen. We used our fireplace nearly every night and we all loved the deep bathtub. Since the water is heated on demand, you never run out of hot water! Since I needed to work while we were there, I used the high speed internet connection - that worked out nicely. The weather in Italy in winter can be chilly but we were glad we went then ? there were very few tourists. We recommend Villa Nuba and plan to return!"

We had an excellent 5 nights at Villa Nuba. I was a bit skeptical about booking something online but the apartment was even nicer than it looked online. The other comments about Guiseppe are definetley correct. He is a perfect host and is available to help out with anything. A tour of the surronding area to get you acquainted was a big help, as was the welcome package so you don't need to go out right away to pick up supplies. The apartment itself was perfect and had everything we needed (we were two couples each with an infant). The kitchen is well equipped and the furnishing very tasteful. It may have been a 20 minute walk to town, but it is all uphill. As we were travelling with babies we drove each time, that was the only downfall of the place. However, if you're not lugging a stroller around I'm sure it would be more manageable.

Fabulous stay

I just arrived home after a 6 week stay at Villa Nuba in the Del Bonfigli apartment. It was fabulous. The space is a delight to the senses; lace curtains, ceramic pulls on the kitchen drawers, a firm comfortable bed, a beautiful custom built fireplace, a well equipped kitchen complete with spices, a garden view with the Umbrian countryside peaking through the trees, a lovely terrace with soft voices of morning songbirds.
The owners are wonderful and Giuseppe was unbelievably helpful. Any questions I had about the apartment were quickly answered and a short tour between the bus station and the apartment was full of recommendations for grocery shopping, a local pizzeria, the bus system, and nearby ATM. Giuseppe was generous with his time, providing pick up of my visitors at the train and bus stations and giving me general wisdom and language support in my first few weeks alone in Perugia.
I would recommend the Villa Nuba to anyone wanting a short or extended stay in a luxury apartment in the beautiful historic city of Perugia.

Where do you begin? The Villa Nuba is a must for anyone who loves Umbria in Italy. Giuseppe welcomes you into a holiday of a lifetime. The Villa is set in beautiful surroundings and has a very high standard, and is well equipped and maintained. The nice touches are the welcome basket of Italian food and wine on arrival and he gives you a flavour of the area with a short drive in his car to the nearby city of Perugia. ?Whilst not essential, a car is an asset to visit some of the local places of interest.?? Villa Nuba will not be forgotten. I travelled with my Mother, Aunt and Friend for her 65th birthday. We were greeted with a warm, familial reception. In fact, I feel like I have made friends for life!
Giuseppe made everything easy. I was even able to email my kids back home every night because the villa has a computer that is available for guests.
The pool, views, location, accommodation was first rate. Our apartment was clean, tasteful and because Giuseppe had thought of everything, it was easy to adjust to being so far away from home. We enjoyed visiting Assisi, Deruta, Todi as well as Perugia, with ease. There's even a shopping mall close by (Collestrada), I felt like I lived there for our week and loved it! I will certainly go back, next time with my husband and kids, they too will be able to make great memories at Villa Nuba!

"loved villa nuba"

We stayed for a month and found everything was excellent; the view, the balcony, the pool. Our host, Guiseppe, was always available and vey helpful. It was a wondeful walk into Perugia and an easy walk to the grocery store which had everything we needed. Taxi drivers knew Villa Nuba so there was no problem getting a taxi to and from the city when we decided not to walk. There was lots of room for extra guests, the amenities were modern and the computer room (with internet access) was easily accessible and was included in the price. Weekly housekeeping was excellent. Very highly recommended.

"Villa Nuba vacation rental in Perugia lives up to its luxury advertisement"

Giuseppe gave us a very warm welcome and guide to our apartment which was exceptionally well equipped. Then he took us on a tour of Perugia in his own car to help us get our bearings in the one way system in the town.

The apartment was spotless, bed and bedroom very comfortable, kitchen facilities were comprehensive and the jacuzzi bath welcome after a days touring. The pool was clean, unfortunately a little cool as the weather was well below normal for this time of year. Access to the main roads was very convenient making this apartment an excellent base from which to visit all parts of Umbria.

The biggest gastronomic treat was a visit to Giuseppe's brother- in-law's restaurant in Montone - absolutely Michelin Star standard!

You definitely need a car to stay at Villa Nuba as it is on the outskirts of Perugia, but compared to other apartment in Italy this one is a gem.

"Bravo Guiseppe"

We had a fantastic time at Villa Nuba. Guiseppe is the perfect unobtrusive host . Always available when you need him and full of excellent tips to make sure you get the most out of your holiday.
The girls complained a bit about the walk into Perugia but we soon worked out the buses so that we only had to walk back and then plunge into the fantastic pool to cool off.
Plenty of places to go by bus or car. We even managed a couple of days in Rome (drove to Orte and then took train and managed to visit the lovely Orvieto on the way back). We had a car for a week (cheap rental courtesy of Guiseppe) but didn't bother to use for Perugia because parking is hopeless and the driver liked to enjoy himself!
The local fiesta was great for food and dancing and we went to some fab restaurants in Perugia but just hanging around the pool and the villa was pure pleasure.
Thanks again to Guiseppe and family for a great holiday!

Our stay in Villa Nuba was fantastic and contributed to a true Umbrian experience. Our expectations were high based upon other reviews and the website but even these were exceeded! A great balance of local charm with excellent facilities - made all the better by the excellent friendly service provided by Giuseppe for whom nothing was too much trouble. Well positioned on the edge of Perugia. We travelled with our 2 year old daughter and the apartment was ideal but equally it would suit families with older children or a group of friends travelling together. Very highly recommended.

"The best villa rental in Umbria"

My family spent one week at Villa Nuba in Perugia. Charming Giuseppe the landlord was of great help. Through him we got a great deal on an AVIS car rental. When we got to the apartment, he took us in his car to the center of Perugia to get accustomed to the town. The apartment was very clean and had all the amenities. Having a computer with an internet connection was great too.
The apartment is situated 30 mins on foot from Perugia centre. At times we walked it and other times we took a cab. We did not bother to drive to the center since parking is a problem.
We loved Perugia and we used it as a base to visit the nearby towns of Assisi, Spello, Spoleto, Gubbio, the ceramic town of Deruta and Orvieto.

"Would love to visit again Villa Nuba holiday rental in Perugia "

My husband and 2 friends arrived at Villa Nuba in August 2008. Stayed in Pintrucchio. We had a wonderful time with good weather, very spacious accommodation, immaclulate and nice pool. Very quiet at times felt as though we were the only people there. The apartment villa is well equipped with everything that you would need.
Although close to main sites of Perugia not exactly walking distance. Once we found the villa very easy to find again, however advise you to ring the great owner Guisseppe to come and meet you for directions. Guisseppe very helpful and friendly, took two of us on a local tour to orientate ourselves. Definitely need a car to view local sites. Great position for Assisi and surrounding countryside, short drive to motorway for easy access to other towns and attractions.

"Fantastic Place in Umbria "??We stayed at Villa Nuba for a week while visiting our son, who was in a college study abroad program in Perugia. Villa Nuba was just a fantastic place to spend the week - not only to get to know Perugia - but also as a great location to take day trips to Rome, Assisi, Gubio, etc. Our 2 bedroom apartment was amazing for the 3 of us. With a great kitchen, fireplace, and even a washer. Giuseppe - who lives in the main house - gave us a short tour of Perugia and took care of all our needs - called us a taxi whenever we needed one, answered all our questions, and was a great host. I would highly recommend Villa Nuba for anyone looking for a nice relaxing place to spend a week, or a month or longer.

"My husband and I loved Villa Nuba apartment rental in Perugia"
My husband and I loved Villa Nuba. We were travelling with our 3 small children, ages 8, 5 and 3 and the pool was a big hit to keep everyone happy. Guiseppe was a wonderful host with lots of local information on Umbria and places to visit as well as the tour of Perugia to point out best supermarkets, pizza places etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the food, wine and all Perugia has to offer. We can only highly recommend Villa Nuba and hope to return. Thanks Guiseppe for making our holiday so memorable and fun with kids!

Aussies with kids

The Villa Nuba was beyond all expectations, both in terms of accomodations and service. From the moment we arrived until Guiseppe drove us to the airport in Florence, these wonderful hosts attended to all of our needs.....from car rental for 5 weeks, to grocery shopping, cell phone purchases, daily map guides, etc.......What an incredible 5 weeks we spent there. Firstly, the estate is only accessible to guests so one feels quite secure and this security is compounded by the presence of the Nuzzaci family on sight. The grounds are meticulous, flower beds breath-taking with local vineyards and hills afford a beautiful view. Mrs. Nuzzaci is absolutely regal in appearance and most adept in social graces. I enjoyed every encounter with her and her delightful husband. Giuseppe, their son, is the alpha omega of hosts and we look forward to seeing him again soon. One of the most memorable stays of my very long life!!!!! Thank you for all the happiness you gave us. We will never forget you.
